Garages and shops
Boxes, old furniture, bikes, exercise equipment, broken tools, lumber offcuts, old appliances and shelving, from single-car garages to big rural shops.

Car back in the garage
The car has not been in the garage for years. The basement is boxes to the ceiling, and nobody wants to climb into the attic. Point at what goes and we will carry it out, load it, and leave the floor swept so you can see it again.
Every house has a place where things go when nobody knows what to do with them. In Whatcom County that is usually the garage, the basement or the attic, and our wet winters make it worse. Cardboard boxes stored on a concrete floor soak up damp from October to April, old couches and mattresses in the basement start to smell, and anything kept in a shop or outbuilding near the Nooksack can be ruined before anyone looks at it again.
People call us for a garage cleanout for a handful of reasons. They are getting the house ready to sell. They have just bought a house and the last owners left half of their things behind. They are downsizing, or they want to turn the garage into a workshop or a gym. Or they are simply tired of not being able to park in it.
Whatever the reason, the job is the same. You tell us what is staying. We carry everything else out, including the broken treadmill, the old fridge, the water-stained boxes and the furniture that has been waiting for a yard sale since 2015. Usable things go to donation, metal and electronics are recycled where possible, and the floor is swept when we leave.
The same goes for basements with narrow stairs in older Bellingham houses, attics reached through a hatch, crawl spaces full of old storage, and rented storage units you no longer want to pay for.

Boxes, old furniture, bikes, exercise equipment, broken tools, lumber offcuts, old appliances and shelving, from single-car garages to big rural shops.
Stored furniture, boxes, mattresses, holiday decorations and anything left in the dark corners, carried up tight stairs or down from the attic hatch.
Rented units, sheds, barns and outbuildings cleared so you can stop paying the rent or use the space again.
We clear only what you point to. If you want help sorting, we will pull things out to where you can see them before anything goes on the truck.
Heavy items, awkward stairs and long carries from the back of a shop are our job, not yours.
Usable furniture, tools and housewares go to donation where they can, and metal and appliances are recycled where possible.
When the last box is out, we sweep the floor so you can see what you are working with.
A few pictures of the space, from the doorway and the corners, are usually enough for a first estimate.
We tell you roughly how much of the truck it will fill and what it will cost before you book.
On the day, show us what is staying, or set it to one side. Everything else is ours to clear.
We carry everything out to the truck, including the heavy and awkward pieces.
Donations, recyclables and disposal are separated on the truck so as little as possible is wasted.
The floor is swept and the driveway left clean.

A dumpster sits for days and you still have to carry everything to it. We do the carrying and leave the same day the job is done.
Mildewed boxes, damp furniture and stored items that went bad over a wet winter get loaded like everything else. You do not need to touch them.
If you are standing in front of thirty years of storage and do not know where to start, we will bring things out a few at a time so you can decide quickly.
It depends on how much is in there, how heavy it is, and what kinds of items are involved. A garage with a few old pieces of furniture and some boxes is a small load. A packed two-car garage with appliances and exercise equipment can fill a whole truck.
Send us photos and we will give you a price before you book.
That depends on how full the garage is, but the bigger question is whether you want a dumpster at all. A dumpster still leaves you doing all the sorting, lifting and carrying, and it sits in the driveway until the rental ends. With a crew and a truck, the carrying is done for you and the garage is cleared in one visit.
Pick a day and do it all at once. Pull everything out onto the driveway, sort it into keep, donate, recycle and dispose, and only put back what you are keeping. Deal with paint, chemicals and fuel separately, since those need a hazardous waste drop-off. If you would rather skip the lifting, we can take everything that is not staying in one trip.
A quick tidy every season and a proper clear-out once a year keeps most garages usable. In our climate it is worth checking anything stored on the floor before winter, because cardboard and fabric soak up damp and start to mildew over the wet months.
For a big remodel over several weeks, a dumpster can make sense. For a garage, basement or attic, a junk removal crew is often similar in cost once you count the rental days and the time you spend carrying and loading. With us, the lifting, carrying and loading are part of the job, not extra work for you.
